Line will offer three ‘Seminars at Sea’
Azamara Cruises is set to host 265 agents over three ‘Seminars at Sea’ and an educational sailing with Clia on board Azamara Quest before the ship is refurbished.
Quest will gain a new penthouse deck and revamped public areas and staterooms, among other changes, announced in the £60 million Azamara Forward programme.
The Seminars at Sea events will take place from March 1 to 6, April 10 to 13 and April 13 to 16, with each group embarking in Seville, sailing to Gibraltar and disembarking in Malaga.
Agents will be invited to join, with the first group to be made up of 25 people, and the next two groups of 80 people each.
The first seminar will have a chance to experience an AzAmazing evening in Gibraltar’s natural limestone cathedral, St Michael’s Cave, in the Rock of Gibraltar.
The destination immersion specialist will also host an educational sailing for UK travel agents in partnership with Clia on April 7.
The three-night programme will host 80 agents specialising in luxury and premium sales with daily training sessions with Clia and Azamara experts, ship activities, entertainment programme and networking opportunities.
Agents can apply for places through Clia on January 28, with room-sharing options available.
UK & Ireland sales director Stuart Pearce said: "With 90% of our UK business generated through the travel trade, our commitment to UK travel agents is unwavering.
“The substantial investment we’re making in these events underscores our dedication to recognising and rewarding our valued partners."
He added: “We believe the most powerful way for agents to sell the Azamara proposition is through first-hand experience, by immersing themselves aboard the very ships that lie at the heart of the Azamara experience.
“When our partners have truly lived what makes Azamara extraordinary, they become our most authentic and effective ambassadors."
