Luxury operator The Luminaire has renewed a multi-year partnership with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group to provide exclusive “culturally immersive” experiences for hotel guests.
The partnership, which began in 2024, sees The Luminaire craft expert-led itineraries for those staying at Mandarin Oriental properties, showcasing the “culture, craft and creative forces” local to each destination.
Each Mandarin Oriental Exclusive Journeys experience is curated with experts such as “artists, photographers and master craftspeople to conservationists, cultural historians and spiritual practitioners”.
Itineraries offered at Mandarin Oriental properties around the world range from meeting samurai masters in Japan and watchmakers in Switzerland to visiting desert tribes in Oman and photographers’ studios in New York.
The companies said the extension of their partnership is “a significant step toward delivering at a global scale”.
Founder and chief executive of The Luminaire, Adam Sebba, said: “This partnership has always been about going deeper into culture creativity and human connection. Extending our work with Mandarin Oriental is a powerful endorsement of that philosophy, and a shared ambition to set a new benchmark for what experiential travel within hotels can truly be.”
Andrew Cleary, vice-president of customer experience at Mandarin Oriental, added: “Mandarin Oriental Exclusive Journeys reflect our belief that meaningful luxury today is defined by depth, context and connection.
“This renewed partnership with The Luminaire allows us to continue offering our guests experiences that go far beyond traditional itineraries – journeys that deepen understanding and create lasting personal resonance.”
