Solo cruisers can save up to £10,000 on balcony suites on 10 voyages
Quark Expeditions has waived solo supplements on selected Arctic 2026 sailings on Ultramarine, with the line considering extending it to other routes “if demand continues at pace”.
Solo cruisers can save up to £10,000 on balcony suites on 10 expeditions on the 199-passenger ship in Svalbard, Iceland and Greenland between May and August.
A spokesperson told Aspire sister titleTravel Weekly: “The change was made because we saw a genuine market need for solo travellers.
“If demand continues at the same pace that we expect it to with this update in pricing, we anticipate that we will be able to extend the offer to other expedition routes as well.”
The new solo expedition offer is only bookable through Quark Expeditions’ polar travel advisors, not online, and cannot be combined with other promotions.
The promotion applies to six departures of the Svalbard Explorer: Best of High Arctic Norway itinerary between May 13 and June 22, the Spitsbergen Circumnavigation: A Rite of Passage voyage on June 30, the Iceland Circumnavigation: Helicopters, Glaciers and Volcanoes expedition on June 27 and the South Greenland Adventure: The Majestic Alpine Arctic on August 17 and August 29.
The 11-day Svalbard Explorer: Best of High Arctic Norway departing from Helsinki on May 13 leads in from £9,951.
Last year, the operator offered a solo passenger discount with "significant” savings on Svalbard Arctic 2025 itineraries.
