Properties span Europe and Asia
The Leading Hotels of the World (LHW) has added ten new member hotels to its global portfolio this February.
Five properties across Europe have been introduced, including 18-bedroom lakeside boutique hotel Palazzo Venezia in Italy’s Lake Como (pictured), which opened in December 2025, and clifftop Atlantis Bay in Taormina, Sicily, featuring 71 rooms and suites.
Neo-Renaissance property Anantara Palais Hansen Vienna Hotel in Austria has also been added to the collection, alongside beachfront Hotel Barrière L’Hermitage La Baule in France and Palacio de Los Ángeles La Rioja in Spain, a 17th-century Baroque palace, set to open in March 2026.
LHW’s latest intake has also introduced five new openings in Asia. There are two hotels in Japan: 55-key Hotel Imperial in Kyoto, expected to welcome guests from this March; and 100-room hotel Espacio Nagoya Castle, which opened in October last year.
Recently opened Soori Penang in Malaysia has joined the collection, as well as Nihi Rote and Hospitality Academy, sister property to Nihi Sumba, which is slated for May 2026.
Finally, Le Gray in Lebanon’s Beirut has also been added, featuring 104 redesigned rooms and suites after reopening in November last year following a renovation.
Vice-president of success and development at LHW, Dean Bannon, said: “These new members reflect the range and strength of independent luxury hospitality around the world. Each hotel is deeply connected to the destination and is led with clear intent, which adds real character to our collection and gives travellers experiences that feel authentic and memorable, whether in well-established locations or emerging markets.
“Additionally, we are continuing to build on strong relationships with long-standing partners such as Villa d’Este Group and Anantara, while expanding thoughtfully into new regions. This approach allows us to balance trusted partnerships with measured growth and deliver long-term value for our members globally.”
