The Grace, Westport Estate will showcase ‘a contemporary expression of Irish elegance’
New luxury hotel The Grace, Westport Estate is set to open on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way next spring.
The 129-key property is located within the 430-acre Westport Estate in County Mayo. It features historic gardens, woodlands and lakes, which will be reflected in the hotel’s design.
Dining will showcase seasonal produce from the Irish west coast, and The Grace Spa & Wellness Suite will offer tailored treatments.
The property draws inspiration from the legacies of two women linked to County Mayo: naval leader Grace O’Malley, known as the Pirate Queen, and Hollywood icon Grace Kelly. The hotel’s character is said to reflect the women’s “bold elegance”.
Guests can walk five minutes to pubs and eateries in the town of Westport or enjoy stargazing at the nearby Gold Tier International Dark Sky Park at Ballycroy.
The hotel also offers easy access to the Wild Atlantic Way coastal driving route, which gives visitors an insight into “windswept landscapes” seen in multi-Oscar-nominated film The Banshees of Inisherin.
The property’s general manager Ciaran Reidy said: “The west of Ireland is the most powerful coastline in Europe and The Grace will be the ultimate base to explore it. With bookings now live, we look forward to welcoming our first guests in spring 2026.”
Chief executive of Westport Estate Barry O’Connor added: “We want to present this region at a world-class level. The Grace is central to that vision – a destination that shares the culture, the history and the raw Atlantic beauty of Mayo with the world.”
