Windstar Cruises to launch second ship in Tahiti in 2027 

Windstar Cruises will add a second ship to its Tahiti deployment from March 2027.

 

Newly refurbished yacht Wind Star will join Star Breeze to sail year-round in French Polynesia.

 

The luxury line claims it will offer more cruise departures in Tahiti than any other cruise line and this addition marks its “most expansive” South Pacific deployment to date.

 

The 148-passenger Wind Star will operate the seven-night Dreams of Tahiti itinerary with departures every Monday.

 

The voyage will call at Raiatea, the island considered the ancestral homeland of the Māori people, which is not commonly featured on other seven-night voyages in the region.

 

Fares for these voyages begin at £2,261 per person based on a departure on March 8, 2027.

 

Meanwhile, the 312-passenger all-suite Star Breeze will offer longer voyages to more remote destinations such as Tuamotus, Marquesas, Fiji and the Cook Islands, which can be combined into Star Collector voyages of up to 21 days.

 

Prices for these voyages start from £2,099 per person based on a seven-night Tantalising Tuamotu Islands & Beautiful Bora Bora cruise on January 14, 2027.

 

Itineraries will include an exclusive Destination Discovery Event called Polynesia Feast + Fire which features a private evening of Tahitian fire dancing, live music and island cuisine under the stars.

 

Windstar will also introduce “early goodbye” disembarkation for 2027, with ships arriving in Papeete at 8pm the day prior to departure day, allowing passengers to take the same evening flight to Los Angeles.

 

In addition, there will be flexible flight options available to purchase through the line and “simplified” combined cruise and hotel packages.

 

Agents booking by October 31 can benefit from an early offer of up to $200 onboard credit and an all-inclusive package comprising Wi-Fi, gratuities and selected beverages valued up to £74 per person per day.
