Silversea sales director Connie Georgiou departs line after 10 years

Silversea sales director for the UK, Ireland, Middle East and Africa Connie Georgiou has left the line after 10 years.

Georgiou joined the luxury line in 2016 and oversaw key accounts as well as running a team of regional sales managers.

Prior to joining Silversea, she spent 16 years with Avis Budget Group, where she was head of international strategic accounts, having started her career in retail with Thomas Cook.

Silversea managing director for Europe Andreas Nuessel confirmed Georgiou’s departure, saying she had left the business “to pursue other opportunities”.

Aspire sister title Travel Weekly has asked Silversea for details of the line’s interim sales structure and plans to replace Georgiou.
