Mediterranean and Caribbean sailings on board Maltese Falcon join brand’s Privé collection
Luxury hotel brand Jumeirah is set to launch a series of yacht itineraries on board “celebrated” vessel Maltese Falcon this month.
The sailings, which mark Jumeirah’s entry into luxury yachting, will join the brand’s Privé collection of curated experiences, alongside Tanzania property Jumeirah Thanda Island.
The Maltese Falcon, a Jumeirah Privé Experience will comprise 12-person voyages around the Mediterranean and Caribbean, with the inaugural sailing departing from Antigua this month.
Following its Antiguan debut, the yacht will operate summer tours around the Balearic Islands, the French Riviera, the Amalfi Coast, Sardinia and Monaco, as well as the coasts of Croatia, Montenegro, Greece and Turkey.
In the winter, Maltese Falcon will return to the Caribbean, visiting Antigua, the Bahamas, Saint Martin and St Barths.
Standard itineraries are a week long, although sailings to specific destinations can be shortened and tailored to visit multiple locations in both summer and winter seasons at clients’ request.
The 88-metre superyacht – which has recently undergone an “extensive refit” following its debut in 2006 – features a full-beam master suite and four double cabins.
On board, a taste of the brand’s “signature culinary experiences” will be on offer, as well as a wellness area with a massage room and fitness studio, an outdoor cinema projected on one of three large sails, and a rotating sunbed on the flybridge.
A variety of watersports will also be available including jet skis, kayaks, JetSurf boards, stand-up paddleboards and snorkelling gear.
Jumeirah’s chief executive, Thomas Meier, said: “The Maltese Falcon marks an exciting chapter for Jumeirah Privé, extending our reach into the world of luxury yachting.
“Designed for the most discerning travellers, this collaboration reflects our commitment to creating distinctive and purposeful experiences that combine privacy, exclusivity and exceptional service.
“The yacht’s heritage and craftsmanship are truly remarkable, and our role in this partnership will be to further elevate the onboard journey through our culinary expertise, wellness experiences and the warm spirit of Arabian hospitality that defines Jumeirah.”
Maltese Falcon, a Jumeirah Privé Experience leads in at $700,000.
Jumeirah plans to double its portfolio by 2030, including three new developments in Dubai.
