Lizzie Adamson-Brown has curated a ‘black book’ of contacts across the wellness travel sector
Travel agent Lizzie Adamson-Brown has founded a wellness-focused agency.
Rhythm & Routes will offer clients “personalised travel experiences delivering health span, vitality, transformation and wellbeing” through expert-led wellness programmes focused on sleep optimisation, breathwork, blue-zone experiences and nature-led rituals.
Adamson-Brown is set to depart her role at Designer Travel at the end of this year, where she has worked for two years, to begin her new venture. The move came as she wished to “hone her niche” and offer a concierge-led service for clients seeking wellbeing retreats.
Prior to this, she spent 10 years as a personal travel concierge with Travel Counsellors.
Speaking to Aspire, Adamson-Brown said: “It was a hard decision to make to niche down, but the demand and potential [for wellness travel] is so big. I’ve spent years researching it and I’m so passionate about it. I want to make sure that people are getting the best service they can.”
Rhythm & Routes will offer its clients a “black book” of contacts, known as the Longevity Directory, which will feature a collection of 140 vetted hotels and suppliers worldwide that offer expert-led and reputable wellbeing programmes and treatments.
Adamson-Brown partnered with trauma therapist and transformational life coach Dianne Lewis to curate the directory, which will launch in early January. Lewis will offer clients expert guidance to align them with the right retreat for their health concerns.
Clients will receive a “unique holistic curation service”, which includes a “discovery call” with Lewis to understand their specific physical, mental or lifestyle needs, before they are offered a bespoke wellness travel recommendation.
Adamson-Brown said: “The wellness travel sector is just going to keep getting bigger and bigger, with more brands increasing their offerings, which makes the Longevity Directory more important. We don’t want to send clients somewhere that’s jumped on the bandwagon; it must have real expertise.”
Rhythm & Routes will also host a private online community, offering monthly conversations focused on wellbeing, travel and ’living with intention’. It will also offer in-person events in collaboration with wellbeing coaches and practitioners, suppliers and clients.
Adamson-Brown added: “Having been through our own health challenges and burnout, we appreciate the importance of taking time out to heal and recover, and the transformative power of travel to aid this process.
“We now want to open more people’s eyes to the holistic impact of intentional travel on their bodies and minds. We want to show how travel aligned to connection, experience, growth, health span and healthy living can deliver long-lasting physical and mental benefits long after the holiday is over.”
