High-value bookings represented 23% of the operator’s sales in 2024
Carrier has launched a new collection of product designed for ultra-high-net-worth clients.
The Limitless portfolio is dedicated to “extra-special trips where budget is no option” and features six itineraries and four buy-out options primarily centred around group travel.
Destinations include Africa, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Antarctica.
The collection also features a European multi-centre trip for six people which includes stops in mainland Greece, the Athenian Riviera and Italy, with clients flying exclusively by private jet and helicopters and staying in the “top category of accommodation”. The itinerary includes experiences such as dance workshops, olive oil tasting and private walking tours.
The collection’s buy-out offering includes Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands, Soneva Secret in the Maldives, Octola Private Wilderness in Finnish Lapland and Blue Safari in the Seychelles.
The launch of the Limitless collection comes as Carrier reported “steady growth” in the number of bookings above £100,000 over the last few years.
In 2023, these high-value bookings represented 20% of the operator’s total sales, which marked an increase of 140% compared to 2019.
Last year, high-value bookings represented 23% of total sales, with an increased revenue of 44% year on year.
Managing director Natasha Towey said: “We continue to see a steady growth in the number of high-value bookings we have coming in. These trips tend to be multigenerational or large groups travelling together. They are usually to mark special occasions, tick off once-in-a-lifetime and bucket-list dreams or embark on grand family adventures.
“The bookings have an average of seven passengers and are also for longer durations of around 19 days. Due to the make-up of these trips, they can be difficult to facilitate. Most of these bookings come through our agent partners, because having a trusted advisor is key. They require a great deal of trust, exceptional connections and strong supplier relationships; we acquire many of these bookings because the agents we work with think of Carrier as experts in this space.”
In 2024, Carrier worked alongside one of its preferred agent partners on a booking worth just over £2 million, which is thought to be among the trade’s biggest-ever sales.
Alongside the launch of the Limitless range, Carrier will offer strategic agent partners new tools to help them promote the collection.
Select agent partners will receive a link to a white-labelled microsite featuring their logo and contact details to send to clients, alongside an unbranded campaign video reel to share on social media.
Carrier’s marketing manager Nicole Humphreys said: “Alternative to a digital PDF, the web links provide a space to showcase the product collection in an interactive way. Having the collection displayed on a web page, where you can click through and see movement, is much more user-friendly and makes the content easier to digest.
“The sites are also mobile responsive, so great for agents and their clients who want to browse on-the-go without compromising on quality.”
She added: “We believe this is a brilliant solution for when we are producing a digital first campaign rather than printing a brochure, as we’re still giving our agent partners a tool to promote the range in stylish and convenient way.
“We intend to use this platform again for future digital campaigns, with the view of building a growing collection for Carrier and their agent partners. We’re excited to bring something new to the table that we think will be game-changing in the way agents promote our collections.”
Carrier will also host a webinar for agents on April 24 to showcase the Limitless range.
