New 95-key hotel to provide butler service and immersive cultural experiences
Capella Hotel Group has opened a new property within China’s Galaxy Macau luxury leisure resort.
Capella at Galaxy Macau has 95 suites and penthouses across 17 storeys, featuring tropical jungle-inspired design.
The apartment-style one and two-bedroom suites each include private plunge pools, while two or four-bedroom penthouses boast infinity pools, outdoor lounges, games rooms, wellness rooms with massage chairs, and butlers’ pantries.
The 48-seat restaurant Botanica serves Asian comfort food surrounded by indoor water features and botanicals.
Opening later this year will be a modern French dining venue curated by chef Vicky Cheng – owner of restaurant Wing, which is ranked second on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025 list.
Cocktail bar Pony & Plume offers 650 whiskies and guided tastings, and also has a private reserve of premium casks.
The hotel facilitates immersive experiences including introductions to local heritage, traditional tea ceremonies, tastings of Chinese spirit baijiu and helicopter tours of the city.
Clive Edwards, senior vice-president of operations at Capella Hotel Group, said: “This strategic partnership positions Capella at Galaxy Macau as a distinctive expression of our brand vision: an intimate, residential retreat within an integrated resort context.
“Our guests enjoy seamless access to Galaxy’s world-class amenities while experiencing the culturally immersive hospitality that defines Capella – from our Capella Culturists to curated experiences celebrating Macau’s rich heritage.”
Galaxy Entertainment Group’s chief operating officer, Kevin Kelley, added: “We are delighted to reveal Capella at Galaxy Macau to our treasured guests from around the world, which showcases a new expression of our signature and ever-evolving ‘World Class Asian Heart’ service.”
