Hotel will open in 2029 in ‘significant milestone’ for the group
Anantara is set to make its Caribbean debut with the opening of a new property in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
Anantara Turks and Caicos Resort & Residences is scheduled to launch in 2029 on the island of North Caicos.
The development will include 78 branded residences, including a collection of beachfront villas, which will all be available for private ownership.
The property will also feature a full-service Anantara Spa, as well as an on-site observatory offering activities guided by lunar cycles and night-time relaxation rituals.
Other facilities include a gym, yoga studio, watersports centre, multiple pools and courts for tennis, padel and pickleball.
Dining will showcase ingredients grown on site, with venues including a signature restaurant, wine cellar and sunset rooftop bar.
Anantara Turks and Caicos Resort & Residences will house its own private marina connecting it to the surrounding cays and wider archipelago. Guests can access the property via boat transfer from Providenciales or by air into North Caicos airport.
The opening will “further strengthen the brand’s expansion into leading luxury destinations worldwide”.
Dillip Rajakarier, group chief executive of Anantara parent company Minor Hotels, said: “Introducing Anantara to the Caribbean is a significant milestone for our group. The Turks and Caicos Islands are among the world’s most recognised luxury destinations, and North Caicos provides an ideal setting for our experiential and sustainability-driven approach to hospitality.
“this key project strengthens our presence in the Americas and reflects our commitment to expanding into destinations that support meaningful travel, whilst also expanding our luxury footprint in North America, aligning to our growth ambitions in the region.”
