Line’s newest vessel scheduled for delivery in December 2026
Regent Seven Seas Cruises has held a float-out ceremony in Italy for its newest vessel, Seven Seas Prestige.
The new 822-passenger vessel is the first in a new class from the luxury line in 10 years and was floated out from the dry dock in a construction milestone ahead of its delivery in December 2026.
The ceremony was held at the Fincantieri shipyard in Marghera, Italy, with Brunetta Casara from the shipbuilding company smashing a bottle of champagne against the hull and cutting the ceremonial ribbon after a prayer from the shipyard chaplain.
Marco Spiga, senior director and project manager at Regent Seven Seas Cruises, addressed attendees and thanked Fincantieri for their continued partnership with the luxury line.
Seven Seas Prestige will be the seventh ship in the fleet, and the first of three Prestige Class ships, which claim to have the largest suites in cruise line history.
The newbuild will sail 13 voyages in Europe and the Caribbean, including two transatlantic crossings, in its inaugural season.
Jason Montague, chief luxury officer for Regent Seven Seas Cruises, said: “Seven Seas Prestige touching water for the first time marks an extraordinary moment for Regent Seven Seas Cruises, representing the culmination of years of planning and collaboration with our long-standing partners at Fincantieri.
“The overwhelming response to this vessel affirms that discerning travellers recognise something truly exceptional is on the horizon; emphasised by the ship’s launch day, which became our biggest single booking day for a new ship in our history.
“From the unprecedented Skyview Regent Suite to every thoughtfully designed detail, Seven Seas Prestige embodies our dedication to redefining ultra-luxury travel."
