Three-night route onboard Venice Simplon-Orient-Express will travel from Paris to Ravello
Belmond has introduced the Amalfi Coast to its European rail portfolio for the first time with a new itinerary onboard the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express.
The three-night Villeggiatura by Train itinerary will depart from Paris on May 4, 2026, travelling to Ravello on the Amalfi Coast.
Along the way, guests will stop in Pompeii for a guided tour of the Unesco World Heritage Site.
Passengers staying in Grand Suites will enjoy exclusive access to the Casa del Larario Regio V, an excavated residence showcasing archaeological artefacts.
Upon arrival in Ravello, guests will spend two nights at Caruso, A Belmond Hotel.
The itinerary features curated experiences such as a live cooking demonstration, a private boat trip to Positano, a painting class with a local artist and a gala dinner.
Prices start from £8,600 per person, including a shared Historic Cabin on the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express and two nights in a Superior Garden View Room at Caruso.
As part of its 2026 season, Belmond will also introduce new three-night journeys from Paris to Venice and Paris to Florence, featuring stays at Hotel Cipriani and Villa San Michele respectively. The latter is set to reopen in spring next year following a renovation.
The collection will also include the Paris to Portofino itinerary, featuring a stay at Splendido, which reopened this summer.
General manager of the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, Pascal Deyrolle, said: “We are thrilled to introduce the Amalfi Coast to our Italian routes, continuing to connect our legendary train with our Belmond hotels. This journey offers guests a unique way to experience one of Italy’s most celebrated coastlines – with its cliffs, villages and sea views revealed in a way that only the Venice-Simplon-Orient-Express can provide.”
