Team will celebrate milestone with 320 clients, suppliers and industry partners
Wiltshire-based agency Travel by Hannah is set to host its first appreciation event to celebrate five years of business this month.
The event, which will be held at Marlborough Town Hall on December 18, will welcome more than 320 clients, suppliers, industry partners, family and friends.
During the afternoon, clients will be invited to drop in for informal networking with 24 supplier partners, including Audley Travel, Abercrombie & Kent, Gold Medal, Kuoni, Quark Expeditions and Simpson Travel. The evening event will feature entertainment from a live band.
Speaking to Aspire, agency founder Hannah Porter said: “We all work so hard in this industry and it’s easy to just lean on people when you need them, so I think it’s important to take a minute and say well done and show appreciation.”
After welcoming her first child in February of this year, Porter said the aim for the business wasn’t “total growth”, but rather maintaining a loyal client base, which is reflected in the agency’s 68% repeat booking rate.
The team also grew to five with the addition of travel consultant Amber Squire.
Porter shared booking trends from this year, including long-haul, tailor-made itineraries and the desire for exploration and added value.
She said: “Everyone wants more value out of their travel, so while we do our fair share of ‘fly and flop’ holidays, we’re seeing people booking car hires and excursions or experiences to explore the destination more.
“We’re also doing more multi-stop itineraries, even within the same destination, such as pairing the north and south of Mauritius. Travellers are really trying to squeeze a destination for what they can.”
Looking ahead to next year, Porter said she may host additional events to further strengthen her client referral rate.
She said: “While we have such a loyal client base, it’s always important to have some growth so I will potentially be looking into events where clients can bring friends who might be interested in booking with us.”
This year, 42% of Travel by Hannah’s new customers were referrals.
Overall, Porter said she felt “really positive” about 2026.
She added: “It’s great to be ending the year with this event to toast and reflect on the first five years of Travel by Hannah. I think there’s a real fine art to doing what you do well and, at the moment, it’s working so well for us.”
