New Botswana and Zambia properties mark ‘natural extension’ of brand
Viceroy Hotels has partnered with safari operator African Bush Camps to manage three safari lodges across Botswana and Zambia.
The move marks the brand’s expansion into Africa, representing “a defining step in Viceroy’s evolution towards immersive, transformative travel experiences that connect guests to nature, culture and adventure”.
Thorntree River Lodge is located in Zambia’s Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, offering eight suites and two family suites with private plunge pools, indoor and outdoor bathrooms and river views.
The property also houses a spa, swimming pool, riverside lounge and library.
Experiences on offer include rhino tracking, sunrise and sunset river cruises, guided visits to nearby Victoria Falls, canoeing safaris, game drives and cultural excursions.
In Zambia’s Lower Zambezi region, Lolebezi is set within 12 acres of protected riverfront. The property comprises four suites, one family suite and one exclusive-use villa, each featuring a private plunge pool.
The lodge also has a swimming pool, spa, yoga deck and open-air cinema.
Guests will have the chance to see wildlife during walking safaris, canoe and boat excursions and game drives.
Atzaró Okavango Camp is situated in Botswana’s Unesco-listed Okavango Delta, featuring eight suites, one family suite and one exclusive-use villa, each with a private plunge pool and views of the river or delta.
There’s a spa, swimming pool, elevated viewing deck, central lounge with a dining area and bar, and yoga deck.
The property offers “unrivalled encounters with delta wildlife” through walking safaris and day-to-night game drives.
