Elevate World to host one-to-one meetings next month to ‘rebuild confidence in the region’
UAE-based tourism group Elevate World will connect the trade with Middle Eastern suppliers at a three-day virtual event next month.
The inaugural Engage by Elevate event will take place from June 2-4, offering agents and operators the chance to have one-to-one meetings with more than 200 Middle Eastern hotel and destination companies.
The “landmark event” aims to “rebuild confidence in the region” ahead of what Elevate World calls “one of the most significant comebacks in tourism”.
It will also feature destination updates and industry sessions, where tourist boards and destination representatives will share comeback plans with the trade.
Suppliers available for meetings include Wynn Al Marjan Island; the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism; the Department of Culture and Tourism of Abu Dhabi; leisure and entertainment project developer Miral Group; Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority; and Visit Qatar.
Representatives from Thailand and the Maldives will also be in attendance as visitation to both countries has been affected by recent events. Attendees can organise meetings with the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Maldives Tourism Board and others.
Open sessions with tourist boards and destination representatives will introduce comeback plans and trade support programmes, with preparations for tourists’ return already “well-advanced”.
Elevate World chief executive Samir Hamadeh said: “As part of our commitment to our beloved destination, the UAE, and all its tourism stakeholders and hotel partners, we have decided to launch this event, offering hotels and tour operators a unique opportunity of connecting, planning, discussing opportunities and sharing ideas for a better future.”
Registration for travel agents and tour operators is open now.
