New departures mean carrier will offer 43 direct weekly flights from the UK to Singapore
Singapore Airlines is “significantly” expanding its daily Gatwick service, launching extra flights from March 31, rising to twice a day during the peak summer season.
From March 31-July 2 and September 1-October 24, the carrier will add three more flights a week.
The extra departures on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays will take the daily operation up to 10 flights a week during those two periods.
From July 3-August 29, the link will increase to a double-daily service.
The increased services will provide connections to key leisure destinations including Bali, Thailand and seven Australian gateways via Singapore Changi Airport.
The new departures also complement the airline’s existing four daily flights from Heathrow and five-times weekly flights from Manchester.
They mean Singapore Airlines will offer 43 direct flights a week from the UK to Singapore, rising to 47 in the summer – more than any other carrier departing from the region.
Mohamed Rafi Mar, UK and Ireland general manager, said: “Our London Gatwick service continues to prove popular, and we are pleased to add even more flights in the coming months.
“With excellent transport links to central London and seamless onward connections via Singapore Changi Airport, customers will have more choice than ever before.”
The Gatwick service launched on June 22, 2024, with a five-times weekly service. Thanks to its popularity, the operation quickly increased to a daily service nine months later.
