Simpson Travel expands trade team

Independent villa and hotel specialist Simpson Travel has expanded its trade team with the appointment of Mariana Canico as business development executive.

In her role, Canico will provide support for agents across marketing, social media and events. She will report to head of trade sales Hannah Naylor-Vane and work alongside trade sales executive Daniel Conitzer.

It marks Canico’s first position in the travel industry following her Hospitality and Tourism Management degree from University College Birmingham.

Naylor-Vane said: “We are delighted to welcome Mariana on board. With her social media expertise, she will add a huge amount to the team, producing regular Facebook content and product updates that agents can use, as well as weekly agent newsletters and meeting agents face to face.

“Her appointment will also enable me to spend more time with agents – specifically on training and at conferences and events.”

Canico added: “I’m thrilled to be joining such a well-respected company as Simpson Travel and looking forward to meeting agents on our forthcoming fam trip to Kalkan, where we will all have the opportunity to experience Simpson Travel product.”

Simpson Travel plans to host a number of fam trips early next year to some of its key destinations.
