Additions showcase ‘off-the-beaten-track’ locations in Brazil, Panama, Zambia and Zimbabwe
Latin America and Africa specialist operator Rainbow Tours has added four new wildlife itineraries to its portfolio.
The tours showcase “off-the-beaten-track” locations in Brazil, Panama, Zambia and Zimbabwe, highlighting the Rainbow team’s “love of wildlife, adventure and community”.
The 11-night Brazilian Wildlife in Depth Holiday itinerary incorporates the Pantanal wetlands, Cerrado Savannah and Amazon rainforest, featuring riverboat journeys, waterfall hikes and rainforest walks.
Guests will have the chance to see caimans, capybaras, monkeys, giant river otters, anteaters, tapirs, maned wolves and the “iconic” jaguar. The itinerary starts at £6,295 per person sharing.
The Panama Nature Explorer journey will span 14 nights, starting in Panama City and ending at the beaches of Boca Chica.
From £4,495 per person sharing, guests can see tropical birds in Soberania National Park and endemic species in one of the world’s largest marine parks Coiba Island, as well as experience hiking along a volcanic crater in El Valle de Anton and a dawn 4x4 ride up Baru Volcano.
The Discover Lesser-Known Zambia itinerary is designed to highlight the country’s “quieter corners”, with stays at Chula Island in the Lower Zambezi and the Ntemwa-Busanga Camp in Kafue from £7,765 per person sharing.
Over nine nights, guests will have a chance to spot elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, wild dogs and buffalo, with game drives, canoeing trips and a focus on conservation.
Finally, the 12-night Essential Zimbabwe Safari, costing from £10,350 per person sharing, covers Hwange National Park, Mana Pools National Park and Fothergill Island on the shores of Lake Kariba.
In close proximity to waterholes and waterways, guests will be able to see aquatic birds, elephants, giraffe, zebra, antelope, lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, wildcats and more. They’ll also have the chance to visit local villages and witness African sunsets.
Rainbow Tours, which is part of ITC Travel Group, has been operating journeys in Latin America, Africa and Madagascar since 1997, focusing on responsible travel by working with local wildlife and conservation charities, as well as aiming to become net zero.
