Luxury Childcare Association says working with trade is ‘right way forward’
Hotel membership platform Luxury Childcare Association (LCA) has unveiled plans to strengthen its relationship with the trade in 2026.
LCA, which launched in May, is a portfolio of luxury member hotels with high-quality childcare and family-friendly facilities around the world.
It is part of the WK Management Consulting GmbH portfolio, which also owns childcare services provider Worldwide Kids.
More than 60,000 high-net-worth families globally currently utilise LCA’s service, and the organisation plans to work with agents more next year.
Speaking to Aspire, WK Management Consulting GmbH’s managing director Lal Askar said: “At some point in 2026 we will be putting something in place for agents.
“We want to bring as much volume in terms of families booking with the hotels, so that [working with agents] is the plan.”
He described LCA as “a different source [for advisors] to see what the options are for family clients”. While the company firms up its trade support, Askar encouraged agents to utilise the platform as a directory of hotels “that are going to be safe and fun for children” while still allowing parents to “enjoy the spa, have a bottle of wine at lunch and play a round of golf”.
Askar added that there is “a lot to do” ahead of introducing an LCA agent portal, as the organisation “wants to get it right”, but this is something “that we want to achieve”.
Hotel membership has “grown massively” since LCA’s launch, with 65 properties from around the world part of the organisation, including Atlantis The Palm in Dubai, One&Only Moonlight Basin in the US and Soneva Jani (pictured) in the Maldives.
Destinations featured in the collection include the Indian Ocean, Europe and the Middle East, with plans in place to “expand more” into Asia and the US in 2026.
Askar said he hopes the portfolio will double in size next year, with a goal to feature more than 130 member properties.
The organisation also unveiled its inaugural awards in October, honouring five properties that reflect the “core LCA values of professionalism, safety, fun and inspiring care for children in remarkable destinations”.
The winners were Domes of Corfu for excellence in sustainable childcare; Stella Hotels Collection for excellence in children’s programming; Atlantis The Palm in recognition of excellence in family experience; Soneva Jani for excellence in childcare facilities; and Columbia Beach Resort in recognition of excellence in baby and toddler care.
