Flagship property The Puli Shanghai to reopen in summer 2026 following renovation
Luxury hotel brand The Puli Group will debut next year as its “iconic” standalone property The Puli Hotel relaunches as The Puli Shanghai.
The portfolio will initially feature three properties: The Puli Shanghai, along with white-label hotels The Puxuan in Beijing and The Ruma in Kuala Lumpur.
The group will primarily focus on Asian cities including Seoul, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Singapore and Bangkok, before expanding globally to 20 luxury hotels, resorts, residences and retail outposts worldwide by 2035.
Flagship property The Puli Shanghai is set to reopen in summer 2026 after an extensive renovation across rooms, suites, public spaces and dining areas.
The transformed design will incorporate “contemporary artistry” with craftsmanship highlighting the brand’s east Asian heritage, featuring bespoke furnishings and original Chinese artworks.
The Puli Bar & Grill serving “refined dining” throughout the day and night will debut, alongside an eight-person omakase restaurant showcasing Japanese cuisine. The Long Bar will also reopen with a sensory cocktail menu.
There will also be a floor dedicated to holistic wellbeing, with nutritious culinary offerings and social wellness spaces, alongside a hair and nail bar.
Victor Clavell, the group’s newly appointed chief executive, said: “We want to redefine conscious luxury – not through scale or spectacle, but through restraint, authenticity and calm.
“Our vision is to create sanctuaries of balance within the world’s most dynamic destinations – places composed with clarity, grace and purpose.”
Further updates regarding The Puli Group’s expansion are expected in the coming months.
