Launch of international route this October marks ‘new frontier’ for brand
La Dolce Vita Orient Express is set to embark on its first Rome to Istanbul journey this October.
The train will inaugurate the route on October 22, marking its first international journey.
The four-night itinerary is “inspired by the iconic heritage” of the original Orient Express train, which reached Istanbul (then known as Constantinople) for the first time in 1883.
La Dolce Vita Orient Express will depart Rome and travel to Venice, where guests will have a full day to explore the city.
From here, the train will continue onwards to Budapest and the Carpathian Mountains, stopping in Brașov and Sinaia. The final stretch of the route will see the train pass into Turkey, culminating in a “grand arrival” in Istanbul.
The onboard experience includes a culinary offering conceived by Michelin-lauded chef Heinz Beck, with every detail “celebrating craftsmanship, culture and contemporary luxury”.
The inaugural international route establishes “a new cultural axis across Europe”, marking “a new frontier” for Orient Express.
