Three more properties planned in the destination over the next five years
Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has opened its third hotel in India.
Fairmont Udaipur Palace is set in an 18-acre estate in the Aravali Hills of Rajasthan, and is spread across three wings: Surya Mahal – the Sun Palace; Chandra Mahal – the Moon Palace; and Agni Mahal – the Fire Palace.
A total of 327 rooms and suites are available, including Signature rooms with plunge pools and Luxury rooms with garden or courtyard views. Suites feature private pools, outdoor spaces and “bespoke interiors”.
The property houses seven dining options, including all-day dining Bahaar, Indian restaurant Zaika and Sitara cocktail bar. Two further Asian and Mediterranean restaurants are set to open in the coming months.
The Fairmont Spa & Salon and Fairmont Fit Gym are open for wellness and spa treatments, while the Rendezvous activity zone provides spaces for padel, pickleball, mini golf, ziplining and a kids’ play area.
The property is decorated to reflect Rajasthani heritage, with marble walls, courtyards and terraces, local embroidery and Thikri mirror inlay artworks.
Omer Acar, chief executive of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and sister brand Raffles Hotels & Resorts, said: “This new palace reflects Fairmont’s commitment to honouring the spirit of each location we enter, blending global luxury with deep local resonance.
“We are proud to bring the Fairmont experience to Udaipur and to be part of the city’s enduring legacy as a jewel in India’s cultural crown.”
Fairmont Udaipur Palace joins sister India hotels Fairmont Jaipur and Fairmont Mumbai.
The brand is set to grow its footprint in the destination further over the coming years, with Fairmont Agra, Fairmont Shimla Fagu and Fairmont Goa Shiroda joining the portfolio in 2025, 2026 and 2030 respectively.
