Como Hotels and Resorts has been announced as the operator of a $300 million hotel and residential development on St Kilda Road in Melbourne.
The development – which will take over the first nine stories of The Carter Building – will mark Como’s second Australian opening following the launch of Como The Treasury in Perth in 2015.
Debuting in early 2028, the hotel will feature 102 rooms including family suites, alongside 54 private residences.
Occupying one floor of the hotel will be the brand’s wellness concept Como Shambhala, offering a range of treatments including massages, facials and personalised wellbeing programmes.
Other facilities will include a restaurant, café and bar, fitness centre and 20-metre indoor pool with a thermal experience.
Como’s chief executive Olivier Jolivet said: “Melbourne is a city celebrated for its design, food and culture, making it the ideal destination for Como Hotels and Resorts. We look forward to bringing Como’s signature hospitality, culinary innovation and holistic approach to wellbeing to the city through this landmark development.”
