Small-ship line to explore south of region on new seven-night itinerary from 2026
Aqua Expeditions will debut a series of seven-night voyages through Indonesia’s south Raja Ampat in December 2026.
The small-ship line, which already operates 14-night itineraries through north and south Raja Ampat, said the move was in response to the success of its recently launched seven-night voyages exploring the north part of the region.
The seven-night south Raja Ampat itineraries will focus on the 300,000-acre Misool Marine Reserve and will take place onboard the line’s East Indonesia-based ocean vessel Aqua Blu.
The 60-metre expedition yacht features 15 suites, a 1:1 guest to staff ratio, “refined” social spaces and cuisine inspired by Indonesia’s spice trade route.
Beginning and ending in Sorong, guests will explore the south Raja Ampat region with hiking, kayaking, paddleboarding, snorkelling and diving excursions.
The sailing will pass through One Thousand Temples island, home to limestone rock formations, lagoons and sea caves, and diving location Daram island, where guests can see reef sharks, pygmy seahorses and hawksbill turtles.
Other diving spots will include Sabuda island, home to reef fish and manta rays, and Fibiacet, thought to be one of Indonesia’s most biodiverse underwater sites.
Guests can also expect to see wild crocodiles at the Blue Water Mangroves and Crocodile River, and experience orca sightings at Kofiau island.
The itinerary will launch on December 19-26, 2026, with additional dates scheduled throughout January, February and March 2027.
Prices start at £8,300 per person based on double occupancy.
