Aman Karingani will be located in Mozambique
Aman Resorts has unveiled plans to expand into Mozambique with its first African safari property.
Located in the 370,000-acre Karingani Game Reserve, Aman Karingani will feature 30 one and two-bedroom standalone pavilions featuring expansive terraces and private pools, alongside a collection of three to six-bedroom residences.
There will also be a central lodge featuring an outdoor swimming pool, multiple restaurants and the brand’s signature spa.
Aman’s chairman and chief executive Vlad Doronin said: “The introduction of Aman Karingani is a significant milestone for our brand as we bring Aman’s ethos of timeless elegance, unparalleled service and profound privacy to Mozambique for the first time.
“Responding to the growing desire from our brand loyalists for an Aman safari retreat in Africa, the property reinforces the brand’s commitment to offering transformative experiences, connected to nature, and an ultra-luxury way of living in the world’s most exceptional destinations.
“Set within one of the continent’s most pristine and diverse reserves, I am delighted to bring Aman’s renowned lifestyle to Mozambique.”
The property will mark the group’s second outpost in Africa, joining Amanjena in Morocco. It also forms part of Aman and sister brand Janu’s pipeline of forthcoming hotels, including properties in Mexico, the Bahamas and the Turks and Caicos Islands.
