AE Expeditions (part of Aurora Expeditions) is an award-winning, Australian owned expedition company celebrating its 30th anniversary year. Founded by legendary Australian Mountaineer and explorer, Greg Mortimer, we pioneered Polar Expeditions and remain committed to small, low-impact groups keen to not just see, but experience our range of remote destinations. AE Expeditions is truly committed to environmentally responsible travel, preserving the beauty and majesty that mother nature possesses, and we take real actions for the care of the planet, including being 100% carbon neutral. 

We have two brand-new ships, The Greg Mortimer and The Sylvia Earle, built for expedition and their low-footprint, offering a wide-range of citizen science programmes. Sailing with just 132 like-minded guests, we offer the best of small-ship expedition cruises but on the most modern and sustainable ships. Our comprehensive activity programs (including sea kayaking, polar diving and snorkelling, climbing and more) are pioneering and unique in the industry. Each expedition is accompanied by an expedition team we believe are the world’s best; remote area specialists, their onboard lectures entertain and expand your knowledge. We explore all over the world, including Antarctica, the Arctic, Svalbard, North West Passage and Canada, Costa Rica and Beyond.
