Line hopes platform will ‘speed up’ booking process
Viva Cruises has added an AI-powered tool to its website to help travel agents narrow down suitable itineraries for customers.
The AI Travel Advisor will provide suggestions for available departures from prompts about destination, travel duration, interests, travel style and budgets.
Agents can access the tool by clicking the star symbol on the right-hand side of the cruise operator’s website and ask follow-up questions to refine search results.
Michelle Daniels, director of sales, UK & Ireland and Australia & New Zealand, said: “For our travel agent partners, this new bespoke AI tool gives them a faster and more intuitive way to match clients with the right river cruise.
“It can save time on research, speed up the booking process and help agents deliver more personalised holiday suggestions.
“The ability to refine recommendations through real-time conversations also makes it easier to respond to changing client requirements.”
The European river cruise company has a nine-ship fleet sailing in 2027 with itineraries across the Danube, Douro, Elbe, Moselle, Rhine, Rhone, Seine and the Main-Danube Canal.
