Additions will form part of new Villa d’Este La Collezione brand
Villa d’Este Hotels has launched a new brand called Villa d’Este La Collezione ahead of opening two new properties in the Italian lakes.
Palazzo Venezia in Como and Miralago Luxury Apartments in Cernobbio are set to join the group’s existing Villa d’Este on Lake Como and Villa La Massa in Florence.
Palazzo Venezia will open on December 6 in Como’s Piazza Cavour close to the Duomo. The hotel will feature classic Venetian styling across 18 rooms and suites.
There will also be a rooftop Altariva Restaurant & Bar that will showcase local flavours with mountain and lake views.
The hotel is set to be Como’s first five-star property named as a member of The Leading Hotels of the World.
Opening in June 2026, Miralago Luxury Apartments will see eight residences housed in the former Hotel Miralago, also with views over Lake Como.
The development will include the lakefront Miralago Caffè eatery and guests will have access to a private chef and full concierge services.
Further additions to Villa d’Este La Collezione include the upcoming restoration of Villa Belinzaghi and renovation of Hotel Regina Olga, both in Cernobbio.
Villa Belinzaghi was formally part of the Villa d’Este estate on Lake Como and, once renovated, will include two restaurants, a bar and cigar lounge, private spa and garden pool.
Historic Hotel Regina Olga will be restored to house around 50 rooms, a restaurant and bar with outdoor spaces beside the lake.
Giuseppe Fontana, chairman of the Villa d’Este S.p.A. board, said: "For over 150 years, Villa d’Este has embodied excellence and the art of hospitality.
“Today, Villa d’Este La Collezione marks the beginning of a new chapter within a structured growth and development strategy for our magnificent territory, reaffirming our commitment to raising the standard of luxury hospitality and strengthening our position as a leader in the industry.”
