Opening will mark first step in ‘global rollout’ of brand from London restaurant The Wolseley Piccadilly
The Wolseley Hotels is set to open its inaugural property next year in New York City.
The opening will mark the first hotel in the newly established group from long-standing London restaurant The Wolseley Piccadilly, which will operate under parent company Minor Hotels.
The Wolseley Hotel New York will be situated near Times Square and will feature 76 rooms and suites.
The property will also house an outpost of the brand’s signature The Wolseley restaurant, marking its first US dining venue. The restaurant will serve as the “social centre” of the hotel and carry forward “the grand cafe tradition” established by The Wolseley Piccadilly, offering all-day dining and signature cocktails.
There will also be a cellar-level speakeasy bar and wellness and wellbeing centre.
The Wolseley Hotels “draws inspiration” from its London namesake, which is “renowned” for its art deco style and refined hospitality.
As the first property under The Wolseley Hotels brand, the New York hotel “establishes the foundation for a selective and deliberate global rollout”, with future outposts planned for cities across Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East.
