SLH builds on ‘landmark’ 2024 with 25 new hotel members

Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) added 25 hotels to its portfolio in Q1 of 2025, including nine new openings.

The move sees the brand expand into new locations such as Munich, following the April opening of Münchner Kindl – House of Hütter, an 18th-century townhouse featuring 10 apartment-style suites and six rooms.

Elsewhere, Grand Palace Hotel, a converted bank dating back to 1877, marks SLH’s first property in Riga, Latvia; The Mansion at Ocean Edge, a Cape Cod resort with a private beach and exclusive oyster tastings, is the brand’s first hotel in Massachusetts; while in Spain, guests can now book Girona with the addition of Hotel Palau Fugit, a restored 18th-century palace in the city’s Old Quarter.

Other new openings include Romeo Roma, a 74-room property that opened near the Piazza del Popolo in Rome in January. The brand has also added the 73-key Villa Haven Resort Maldives, expected to open this December.

SLH said the new signings followed a “landmark” 2024, which saw it add 82 properties to its portfolio. The independent hotel network now includes more than 620 properties across more than 90 countries.
