Bookings for both June and October have increased by 30%
CV Villas has reported a “substantial increase” in shoulder season sales, which is “currently outperforming” the traditional peak summer booking window.
The specialist operator has unveiled forward-looking data for 2026 that highlights a 30% year-on-year increase for June bookings, as well as 30% and 21% year-on-year growth for October and September respectively.
Destinations proving to be the most popular for the shoulder months include Puglia and Croatia.
The data indicates a “clear shift” in booking patterns, with travellers opting for the “milder weather, lower prices and reduced crowds” of the early and late summer periods.
CV Villas said its trade partners play “a vital role in sales” as they leverage the “enhanced value” offered during the quieter months.
The operator’s senior business development manager Chris Etheridge said: “The appetite for villa holidays remains stronger than ever, but what’s exciting is seeing our agents successfully educate clients on the immense benefits of travelling outside of the most in-demand weeks.
“A 30% increase for June and October is remarkable and is a testament to the value a great travel agent brings to the booking conversation. Our shoulder season offers clients better flight options, more choice from our handpicked portfolio and a truly relaxing experience of our destinations with fewer crowds.”
