Poole-based agency has raised almost £14,000 for two local causes
Poole-based luxury agency Select World Travel has reported an “incredibly busy and rewarding” start to 2026 for its charitable foundation.
Select World Travel Foundation, now in its second year, is fundraising for two local charities throughout 2026: Mosaic, which supports bereaved children; and The Principle Trust Children’s Charity, which provides help to children suffering from life-threatening or limiting illnesses.
Since January, the foundation has raised £13,578.78 through events including a charity raffle, easter egg hunt and the agency’s annual Luxury Travel Showcase, this year hosted at Rudding Park in Harrogate.
Members of the Select World Travel team will be joined by people from across the industry on August 31 for a plane-pull challenge, which will see the group of 20 pull a Boeing 737 for 50 metres to raise funds for Mosaic.
Select World Travel Foundation also introduced its inaugural grant-giving programme in April, which was one of the team’s “main goals” when launching the foundation, according to foundation director Leanne Giddings.
The organisation awarded one grant to the Dorset-based Townsend Youth Partnership, helping the charity to give disadvantaged children access to day trips and residential experiences.
The second grant was presented to Meredith’s Mission, which provides support and resources to children diagnosed with cancer and their families.
Both charities were awarded £2,000.
