Sabi Sabi Collection to open fifth outpost next month

South African safari brand Sabi Sabi Collection will open its fifth outpost in the Greater Kruger National Park next month.

Sandringham Private Game Reserve will comprise two luxury camps named N’weti Camp and Shisaka Camp, each offering six suites with outdoor decks, private infinity pools and indoor-outdoor bathrooms.

Shisaka Camp will also feature two private villas.

The reserve will also house Sandringham House, an exclusive-use, fully serviced four-bedroom villa designed for multigenerational groups.

Elsewhere, a central lodge will feature a boma dining space, wine tower, spa and gym. There will also be a private airstrip.

Sandringham used to be managed primarily for hunting, with Sabi Sabi spending the last five years “quietly rehabilitating and rewilding” the reserve to restore natural habitats and support wildlife recovery.

The project has created opportunities for surrounding communities, with young people from neighbouring towns being trained as professional wildlife trackers.

The opening will set a “powerful example” of how conservation-led tourism can protect biodiversity while delivering economic and social impact.
