Renovation marks first phase in three-year project
Rocco Forte Hotels’ Verdura Resort in Sicily has unveiled the first phase of a three-year accommodation renovation.
Located in the Agrigento area on the Italian island’s southwestern coast, the property has redesigned 58 of its 203 rooms and suites, including 10 Grand, Family and Pool Suites and 48 Double Deluxe and Seafront Rooms.
The interiors have been reimagined in collaboration with Italian luxury fashion brand Studio Moschino, featuring natural stone, bespoke glazed ceramics and woven rattan.
The hotel’s 10 Forte Suites are designed for families and groups of friends, each with its “own personality reflecting a distinct facet of the Sicilian spirit”.
For example, the Mimosa Suite is inspired by the resort’s gardens with ochre accents and floral motifs, while the Acacia Suite features deep greens and warm woodwork to reflect the olive groves.
Co-founder and director of design at Rocco Forte Hotels, Olga Polizzi said: “The work carried out with Paolo Moschino and Philip Vergeylen reflects the most authentic narrative of the destination and the identity of Verdura Resort.
“The spaces surround guests with light, beauty and wellbeing, conveying a true sense of Sicily.”
