Le Commandant Charcot will circumnavigate the continent between January 11 and March 12, 2028
Ponant Explorations Group has opened bookings for a 62-day Antarctica voyage that will set sail in January 2028.
The group’s polar exploration vessel Le Commandant Charcot will travel for more than 14,000 miles as it circumnavigates the continent’s coastline, taking in the world’s largest ice shelf, little-visited destinations such as Charcot Island, Wilkes Land and the Balleny Islands, and the world’s southernmost active volcano Mount Erebus.
Guests will also have the chance to spot penguins, humpback whales, orcas and sea lions, and take part in Zodiac excursions, snowshoe hikes and kayak tours.
The sailing will depart from Ushuaia in Argentina on January 11, 2028, before travelling west to Tasmania over 30 days. After a three-day stopover, the ship will then return to Ushuaia via Antarctica’s east coast.
The sailing is split into two itineraries that can be booked independently or as a whole.
The full 62-day sailing leads in at €121,955 per person, while the 30-day outbound itinerary starts at €61,655 per person. The return voyage lasts for 31 days and leads in at €69,150 per person.
