Philipp Weghmann named new Preferred Hotel Group chief development officer

Luxury hotel portfolio Preferred Hotel Group has named Philipp Weghmann as its new chief development officer and president of the sustainable Beyond Green portfolio.

The company said the newly created position “will aid development initiatives to accelerate brand growth”, while Weghmann’s appointment at Beyond Green would reinforce its commitment to responsible travel around the world.

Weghmann has 20 years’ experience in luxury travel, having most recently been vice-president and global brand leader for The Luxury Collection at Marriott International. 

He previously held various leadership roles at Preferred Travel Group, including executive vice-president for Europe.
