Oceania Marina will act as a floating hotel during tournament in Ireland
Panache Cruises has helped secure a cruise ship accommodation option for golf fans attending the 2027 Ryder Cup in Ireland.
The luxury cruise agency helped Ryder Cup Travel Services source Oceania Marina as a floating hotel for golf fans attending the event.
The Oceania Cruises ship can accommodate up to 1,230 guests in 615 cabins and suites and will be part of the official accommodation options for next year’s Ryder Cup to be held at Adare Manor in County Limerick.
The vessel will be docked at Shannon Foynes Port on the River Shannon, 18 miles from tournament venue on September 13-19 next year, offering all-inclusive accommodation, dining and official four-day Ryder Cup tickets, alongside daily transfers to the course.
Passengers can sail from Southampton on September 12 for a 10-night voyage to Shannon, returning to the UK port on September 22.
Alternatively, they can choose to board at Foynes for a five-night stay during Ryder Cup week, the biennial tournament’s 100th anniversary.
Panache Cruises business development vice president Matt Busby, who helped broker the deal, said the company used its extensive cruise line relationships to identify suitable options for the project.
"We became aware that Ryder Cup Travel Services were trying to find a partner to help them charter a cruise liner to accommodate golf fans heading to the Ryder Cup," he said.
"We immediately leveraged our contacts and identified three possible ships of the right size that were in the British Isles at that time of year.
"I’m absolutely delighted that we’ve managed to get this over the line. As a business, it shows Panache Cruises’ ability to leverage our contacts with the cruise lines."
