Vessels to join the line’s Sonata Class in 2032 and 2035
Oceania Cruises has taken delivery of its newest ship and announced plans for two more vessels in its Sonata Class.
The 1,200-passenger Oceania Allura was delivered in a ceremony in Genoa and becomes the eighth ship in the line’s fleet.
As the line welcomed Allura it unveiled plans for two new Sonata Class ships, which are due to be delivered by Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri in 2032 and 2035.
The line said they will “represent the dawn of a new generation of luxury cruises”.
These will be in addition to the two Sonata Class ships already on order.
Oceania Sonata will be the first ship in the class and is due to arrive in summer 2027, while sister ship Oceania Arietta is slated for 2029.
Jason Montague, chief luxury officer at Oceania Cruises, said: “Oceania Allura is our most innovative and luxurious ship to date.
“She represents our bold vision for an entirely new generation of luxury travel experiences.”
He added: “I am delighted to confirm we will be adding two more Sonata Class vessels to our fleet.
“We are proud to continue our legacy of innovation alongside Fincantieri, our shipbuilding partner for close to 20 years.
“These four Sonata Class ships will herald the next stage in the evolution of the Oceania Cruises brand of exceptional small-ship luxury experiences.”
