National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions unveils 2028-29 voyages

National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions has announced its deployment schedule for 2028-29.

The season introduces new and expanded voyages across Antarctic, the Arctic, Alaska, Europe and the South Pacific, as well as a return to French Polynesia.

Highlights include longer southeast Alaska itineraries with a new round-trip from Vancouver on board Greg Mortimer, a 10-night circumnavigation of Iceland and additional cruise and fly options in Antarctica.

The line has also launched the Southern Ocean Odyssey sailing, featuring Patagonia, the Falklands, South Georgia and Antarctica in a single voyage. 

Itineraries in French Polynesia will span seven and 14 days, offering what claims to be the only continuous voyage connecting Easter Island, Pitcairn, Henderson, Ducie, Makatea and Tuamotus.

There will also be a range of European river voyages which “combine cultural immersion with exclusive access and after-hours experiences”.

The line’s chief expedition officer Trey Byus said: “The future of expedition travel is no longer defined solely by where travellers go, but how they travel. When they travel and who guides them there.

“Our upcoming deployment reflects that idea with longer voyages, expanded access and deeper exploration across our guests’ favourite destinations, led by the people who know them best. From more time in Antarctica and the Arctic to sailing in the Maktea, where few operators go, these journeys are shaped by years of expertise in destinations where access and expertise change everything.”
