Malta is set to gain a new luxury boutique hotel on May 1, 2026.
Casa Bonavita is the result of a five-year renovation of a former family home in the northern village of Attard.
The hotel will feature 17 rooms and suites, many of which will offer private outdoor spaces, as well as two swimming pools and a spa with a hammam, sauna, cold plunge, treatment rooms and gym.
A restaurant will serve a Mediterranean menu featuring oranges, herbs and vegetables from nearby gardens.
The hotel’s design will incorporate traditional Mediterranean craftsmanship, with antiques, Sicilian marble and Murano glass chandeliers.
The bar will be decorated with hand-printed wallpaper depicting nearby Valletta.
The property’s gardens are central, with guests able to walk through citrus trees and enjoy outdoor aperitifs.
The hotel is the first opening from the founders of The Rug Company, Christopher and Suzanne Sharp, with design curated by London-based Suzanne Sharp Studio.
