Journey Beyond introduces festive rail-and-safari package

Specialist Australia operator Journey Beyond has introduced a new rail-and-safari package for the festive season.

The seven-day trip will begin with a journey on board the Great Southern train, departing Brisbane on December 21.

The train will stop in the coastal regions of Coffs Harbour and Port Stephens, as well as wine region Hunter Valley.

During the rail journey, guests will enjoy “regionally inspired dining and warm seasonal hospitality”.

Great Southern will arrive in Adelaide on Christmas Eve, where passengers will be transferred to Monarto Safari Resort.

A “lavish” Christmas lunch will be served on the 25th, while Boxing Day will offer the chance to “unwind by the resort’s infinity pools”.

The package starts from $5,960 per person.
