The brand has added two Scottish properties to its management portfolio
JA Resorts & Hotels has expanded into the UK with the addition of two Scottish properties.
The brand has assumed management of Mar Hall Golf & Spa Resort in Glasgow (pictured) and The Bruntsfield in Edinburgh, marking its “strategic” entry into the UK market.
The move represents “a meaningful step” in the Dubai brand’s growth journey and marks its first properties outside the UAE and the Maldives.
Mar Hall Golf & Spa Resort is set within a 240-acre estate on the banks of the River Clyde. The property dates back to 1828 and underwent a £25 million refurbishment in 2024, before reopening in May. It now features 74 rooms, two restaurants, two bars, a private cinema and gaming room.
The Bruntsfield is located in the centre of Edinburgh, close to the city’s most famous landmarks. Following a £1 million refurbishment completed in 2022, the hotel now features 72 rooms, a restaurant and bar, heated garden and event facilities.
Both properties were acquired by JA Resorts & Hotels’ parent company Dutco Group in 2024. The hotels were chosen for their “strong heritage and deep connection to their Scottish settings”, making them a “natural fit” for the collection.
