Operator credits growth to rising demand for longer trips and multi-centre stays
Inspiring Travel has seen its average booking value rise to £20,800, marking a 5% year-on-year increase.
The operator’s commercial and product director Matt Rushbrooke attributed the growth to an increased demand for longer trips and multi-centre stays.
Speaking to Aspire, he said: “Bookings are fairly consistent with last year. What we are seeing is an increase in revenue, and our average booking value is still going up.
“People are looking to get more out of a destination and put more experiences in. We are finding that clients aren’t just wanting to stay in a hotel now – they want to go out and do these different experiences.”
He said the fastest growing destinations are “the more experiential”, including Australia (pictured), Asia and India.
The operator has reported a 33% increase in bookings to Australia, largely due to a surge in demand for sports tourism.
“Some of that’s driven by our sports brand, Spectate, as we sell The Ashes. That’s really helped drive that side as well, because people are building tours around that kind of event.”
The news comes as the operator launches its first brochure dedicated to multi-centre trips in response to growing demand for this style of travel.
