Hotel group hosted six agents at Ikos Andalusia in partnership with Aspire
Ikos Resorts flew six agents to Spain earlier this week for its inaugural Taste of Ikos fam trip.
In partnership with Aspire, the hotel brand hosted the group at Ikos Andalusia on June 9 for a day viewing the property and sampling the culinary offering.
The day-long fam trip was led by Karl Oliver, Sani/Ikos Group sales manager for the Midlands and south Wales, who said the day was the “perfect opportunity” to showcase the resort in an “innovative way”.
“With the travel industry busier than ever and many business owners and family focused professionals finding it difficult to commit to traditional multi-day familiarisation trips, experiences such as these allow agents to immerse themselves in the Ikos product first-hand without the need to be away for several days,” he added.
During the event, the group viewed various room categories, sampled an al fresco lunch at the Beach Club eatery and enjoyed a cocktail making masterclass, which is available to guests free of charge.
Attendees included Travel Counsellor Paula Hawthorn, who said: “Spending time on site at Ikos Andalusia on this fam trip has been invaluable and has really brought the brand to life for me. Being on the ground has given me the stories and small details that make all the difference when I’m talking to clients.
“From the quality of the à la carte restaurants to the thoughtful touches around the resort, I can now describe the experience in a way that feels real, which I know will help me convert more enquiries into bookings and clearly explain the value of the all-inclusive, luxury Ikos concept.”
Heather Bissix, also of Travel Counsellors, commented: “Being able to share my personal recommendations and first-hand experience helps bring the holiday to life.
“I also think this flows through into my social media – being able to share that I have been somewhere fills clients with confidence and sparks curiosity for new clients and followers who may not have heard of or considered Ikos.
“Visiting the hotel has equipped me to match Ikos Andalusia more confidently to the right clients.”
Less than an hour from Malaga airport, the 425-key resort houses a variety of rooms, interconnecting suites, villas and penthouses with multiple options to suit families.
Nine pools are spread across the all-inclusive property, including an adult-only option.
Other amenities include a spa, gym, outdoor yoga studio, tennis courts, half basketball court, beach volleyball space and various watersports.
Guests can choose from nine restaurants and eight bars, opt for the Dine Out option to visit local restaurants or choose 24-hour in-room dining.
The Deluxe Collection is also available with enhanced accommodation, private pools, ungraded amenities, a complimentary beachside dinner and spa treatment included.
Ikos Resorts is set to open its second property on the Costa Del Sol, Ikos Marbella, in 2028.
