Hospitality brand Aethos to take over Nobu Hotel London Shoreditch

Swiss hospitality brand and members’ club Aethos is set to take over Nobu Hotel London Shoreditch this summer.

The site was acquired by private equity firm Limestone Capital in February and will be “fully reimagined” before opening as Aethos London Shoreditch.

The 164-room hotel will be centred around an exclusive space for Aethos members, who will have access to lounges, private meeting areas and a calendar of social events. Aethos London Shoreditch will also feature a spa focused on holistic wellbeing.

Benjamin Habbel, co-founder and chief executive of Aethos, said: “With the launch of Aethos London Shoreditch, we are excited to introduce a new kind of members’ club to East London – one rooted in shared experiences, inclusive club culture, and thoughtful social programming to enable meaningful connections.

“Shoreditch has always been a hub of creativity and culture, making it the perfect location for our London debut.”

Aethos London Shoreditch joins the brand’s portfolio of properties across Portugal, Italy, France and Spain, including upcoming launches in Madrid and Lisbon.

Nobu Hotel London Shoreditch originally opened in 2017 as the brand’s first UK property.
