Role will focus on driving international growth and building new sales teams
Grecotel Hotels and Resorts’ Kostas Sinis has been promoted to sales and markets strategy director.
Sinis joined the hotel group in December 2020 as director of sales for the UK and luxury and will commence his new role from January 1, 2026.
Speaking to Aspire, Sinis said “I am privileged to be offered such a unique and exciting role”, saying it has “two key priorities”.
“This [role] will, of course, have as a main focus to drive international growth as well as build and execute the sales and markets strategy across Grecotel,” he said.
The second “very important” priority is to develop the existing teams and grow additional sales teams across the world. “We want to create and lead high-performing sales teams that proudly represent Grecotel. Teams with drive and passion – similar to the ones our UK team has,” he said.
Sinis praised the support of his “great existing team”, including UK sales manager Liz Mason and sales executive Briony Worrall, as well as marketing specialist Tina Nykta, who is based in Greece and has been “instrumental” to the hotel group’s UK marketing strategy.
Further growth is planned, as Sinis hopes the UK team will number six by the end of next year.
Looking ahead to 2026, Sinis emphasised that Grecotel will “continue evolving”, with €1 billion of investment planned over the next four years to create new properties in Crete, Corfu, Kos, the Peloponnese and northern Greece.
He also said the group hopes to grow its trade engagement “even more”, giving back consistently to all its partners.
