Appointment marks step up from vice-president role
Global Travel Collection (GTC) has promoted Francesca Mendola to become UK managing director.
Mendola, who had already been overseeing the group’s UK business as UK vice-president, said she was honoured by the appointment.
She added: “I’ve been incredibly proud to lead our UK business and work alongside such a passionate and entrepreneurial network of advisors and dedicated employee support team.”
Mendola, who has been employed by GTC for 10 years, has been credited with leading the integration of Altour independent contractors into GTC and driving strategic planning.
She has also overseen financial performance, supported agent engagement and retention and served as GTC’s senior representative in the travel industry.

GTC, which is part of Internova Travel Group, has more than 1,500 agents worldwide.
