Patrice Gordon will join the carrier next month
British Airways has recruited a former director from rival Virgin Atlantic to head global sales.
Patrice Gordon joins BA in September, moving from Eminere, the leadership consultancy she founded.
She will lead the airline’s global sales, distribution and account management teams, with responsibility for driving revenue growth and strengthening commercial performance worldwide.
Gordon will become a member of the commercial leadership team reporting to chief commercial officer Colm Lacy.
She started her career in finance, with roles at PwC and BA, before going on to hold senior commercial leadership positions at Royal Mail and Virgin Atlantic, where she was most recently director of commercial strategy development, leading the airline’s transatlantic joint venture with Delta Air Lines, Air France and KLM.
She said: "I’m delighted to be returning to British Airways at such an exciting time for the airline.
“British Airways has ambitious plans for the future, and I’m looking forward to working with colleagues and partners around the world to build on our success and continue delivering for our customers."
